Who we are
Steph Your Stylist is a digital personal styling service operated by Stephanie Ertam, a sole trader, of Unit Da2 Sutherland House, 43 Sutherland Road, London, England, E17 6BU.

We are the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
When you buy a service. Your name, email address, billing address and order details. Payments are handled by our payment providers – we never see or store your full card number.
When you complete a style questionnaire. Your answers about your wardrobe, lifestyle, budget, sizing and style preferences, and any photographs you choose to send us so that we can assess your colouring, proportions and fit.
When you join our mailing list. Your email address, and whether you opened or clicked our emails.
When you visit the site. Basic technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you viewed.
How we use it
- To deliver the service you have paid for and to communicate with you about it
- To take payment and keep accurate financial records
- To send you emails about places opening, if you have asked us to
- To keep the website working and secure
Our legal bases
We rely on contract to deliver and administer services you have bought; consent for marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time; legal obligation for tax and accounting records; and legitimate interests for keeping the site secure and improving what we offer.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers, each of which only receives what it needs:
- Squarespace – website hosting, store and order records
- Our payment providers – card payments and refunds
- Klaviyo – mailing list and marketing emails
- Google – style questionnaire responses
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where that happens it is covered by the safeguards required under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
Questionnaire answers and any photographs you send are kept for as long as we are working together and for 60 days after your service is complete, then deleted. Order and payment records are kept for six years, as tax law requires. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe.
If you would like your photographs deleted sooner, email us and we will remove them.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Email hello@stephyourstylist.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can refuse non-essential cookies when you first visit, and change your mind at any time in your browser settings.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
